Overview

Video Review lets you share a review link where clients can leave time-stamped feedback directly on the timeline.

Comments stay organized, can be marked as resolved, and export cleanly as an EDL for DaVinci Resolve.

Upload a video

1

Create a project

Go to Video Desk and create a new project or open an existing one.

2

Upload your file

Drag-and-drop or select a file. Processing begins automatically.

3

Wait for processing

Once ready, the review player becomes available.

Reviewers enter their name (and PIN if required).

2

Pause the video and add a comment or draw an annotation.

3

Submit

Feedback appears instantly and is tracked by timestamp.

Managing feedback

  • Feedback is listed by timestamp in the Video Desk.
  • Mark items as resolved to track progress.
  • Filter between open and resolved items.

Versions & EDL export

Upload a new cut as a new version of the same project. The review link stays the same and always shows the latest version.

Export feedback as an EDL to import timeline markers into DaVinci Resolve.

  • Timeline start timecode must match your Resolve timeline (default: 00:00:00:00).
  • Choose a marker color when exporting.

Client assignment

Assign a project to a client to surface it in their Client Portal.

Common issues

  • Processing stuck: wait a few minutes, then refresh the page.
  • EDL markers land at the wrong time: check the timeline start timecode.
  • Reviewer cannot access: verify the PIN or that the project is not archived.
