Overview

Exportlab offers multiple review methods so clients can give feedback as precisely—or as simply—as needed.

Annotation Tool

With the Annotation Tool, clients can draw directly on the video frame.

This is ideal for visual corrections where words are not enough.

  • Circle a person.
  • Point an arrow at a detail.
  • Mark a spot that needs a change.

Short & Long Comments

For text feedback, there are two comment types:

Clients can decide how detailed their feedback should be.

  • Short Comments for quick notes like “lower the volume a bit” or “trim the transition.”
  • Long Comments for detailed explanations or conceptual feedback.

Range Select

Range Select lets clients mark a specific section in the timeline.

This is especially helpful for pacing, music, cuts, or timing.

  • “This section from second 12 to 17 feels too hectic.”

Easy Mode

Easy Mode is for clients who do not want to give technical or detailed feedback.

When enabled, they can leave a single overall comment on the entire video—without timecodes, tools, or annotations.

Once feedback is submitted in Easy Mode, it stays active. Switching back to detailed review methods is not possible by design to keep the process clear and simple.
