Google Analytics

Connect a GA4 Measurement ID for visitor analytics on public galleries.

Written by Exportlab · Updated March 2026

Overview

Google Analytics integration lets you track visitor activity for public gallery pages in your own GA4 property.

Exportlab still keeps its built-in analytics separate; GA4 is for teams that want browser, device, campaign, or acquisition data in Google Analytics.

Connect GA4

1

Find your Measurement ID

In Google Analytics, open Admin -> Data Streams -> Web and copy the Measurement ID.

2

Open Integrations

In Exportlab, go to Settings -> Integrations.

3

Save the ID

Paste the GA4 Measurement ID and enable Google Analytics.

4

Publish or open a gallery

Public gallery page views are sent to your GA property after the integration is enabled and visitor consent allows analytics.

Notes

  • The integration is optional and separate from Exportlab's built-in dashboard analytics.
  • Analytics only loads on public pages where consent and tenant settings allow it.
  • Use your GA account to inspect detailed reports, audiences, sources, and campaign performance.

Common issues

  • No data in GA: confirm the Measurement ID and allow time for GA4 processing.
  • Still no events: verify that analytics consent was granted in the browser.
  • Wrong property: check that the ID belongs to the intended web data stream.
