Overview

The After Effects plugin adds an Exportlab panel inside Adobe After Effects.

Use it to view Exportlab video projects, review client feedback with timestamps, mark feedback as resolved, and upload new rendered versions.

Adobe Marketplace review

The Exportlab plugin is currently under review in the Adobe Marketplace and is not live yet. Once Adobe approves it, install it directly from the marketplace listing.

What you can do

  • See your Exportlab video projects from inside After Effects.
  • View timestamped feedback without switching to the browser.
  • Mark feedback items as resolved after applying changes.
  • Upload new versions from rendered files.

Installation

1

Create an API key

Go to Settings -> Integrations -> API Keys and create a key for After Effects.

2

Install the plugin

Download the After Effects plugin from Integrations and install the .zxp file with a ZXP installer.

3

Open the panel

In After Effects, open Window -> Extensions -> Exportlab.

4

Enter your Tenant Slug and API key in the plugin settings.

Current limits

  • After Effects CEP currently supports upload and feedback workflows.
  • Rendering, marker import, and in-app file import are not available in the current plugin.

Common issues

  • Authentication errors: confirm tenant slug and API key.
  • Panel not visible: restart After Effects and confirm the extension was installed for the right Adobe profile.
  • Upload fails: confirm the Exportlab project exists and is not archived.
